Competition rules

Any design that is not in production may participate. Green Furniture Sweden have the intention to produce one or more of the winning contributions - our collection is in large becoming a Green winner's collection.

 

The winners of the award shall have created products with Outstanding Sustainable Design. The furniture should be possible to produce in an effective way and with reasonable investments.

 

The participants shall document their contributions with:

 

a) Presentation sketches
b) Description of function and usage
c) Description of material, its origin and environmental benefits
d) Specification of production methods or processes
e) Description of recycling procedures
f) Construction drawings showing main
measurements and assembly principle
g) All pages marked with Project Name
(not with your name in order to keep anonymity)

All documentation in PDF format.

Maximum total file size: 10 MB.

 

Also send a sealed envelope marked with the project name, containing name and contact information of the participant(s), to:

The envelope will be opened when the contest is settled and the winner is to be contacted.

 

Green Furniture Sweden’s rights and commitments

 

Green Furniture Sweden (through Berhin Studios) have an exclusive option to conclude a royalty agreement with the award winners (first, second and third prize) implying the right to produce and market the winning contribution (or find another suitable producer for the product and license it further). In the case that Berhin Studios do not choose to conclude a royalty agreement for a winning contribution the rights for this contribution are fully returned to the designer. A copy of the agreement is availableas a pdf file here

Any applicable taxes to be paid by the winners.
